Welcome back to the 2009 version of the Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholarship Contest Look-Back series. In today’s entry, we wanted to show off a couple of the finalists designs that, even though they were not turned into cards, we still thought should be seen by everyone. I love this entry because of the way the tree was drawn along with the background colors. That shade of blue is beautiful. It is just a nice way to wish anyone a Merry Christmas.
I chose Entry 4045 Chelsea Larosiliere because of the vivid colors. I think it could be made into Thinking of You card or a Get Well card.
I love Entry 6997 by Cynthia Shafer with the felt reindeer. It’s simple and fun, and the felt design sets it apart from the other more serious cards.
Oooooohhhhh, I love Entry 5963 by Lindsey Selvog with the waiting reindeer. I think you guys should make that one into a card pronto! It’s got so much Christmas spirit, then it has this air of excitement and expectation that make it truly unique. I would buy out your stock!
Wow! There are so many great entries, I couldn’t just choose one to vote for! My favorites are Entry 6229 by Justin Breen and Entry 4126 by Sean Hicks. However, they are all beautiful cards and should have all be chosen!
I chose 6161 by Krystal Babich because it has such an old time Christmas look about it. I like religious images for Christmas cards and although this one isnt really religious I would definitely use this as a Christmas card if it ever became one.
