Company Congratulations Cards – Well Wishes not to be Forgotten

There are so many occasions for which to send greeting cards offering congratulations to friends and family – a birth, a graduation, a promotion. These occasions and many others should not go unnoticed in the corporate world. I feel that everyone, especially those in a leadership role or in human resources, should have company congratulations cards on hand to send to associates or clients offering these well wishes when the time arises. High quality congratulations cards convey an upbeat message in a very professional manner.

In our private lives we seldom hesitate to send a message of congratulations when an occasion to celebrate or remember comes along. These well wishes and positive thoughts are appreciated, enjoyed and remembered by the recipient. At the business level we all should seize the opportunity to forward a positive thought or message to those we work with in and out of the office. Our co-workers certainly will appreciate it and it is also a nice way to maintain a positive business relationship with a client.

Corporate Birthday Cards and another Year Older

It is early in the morning and the clock is ticking. Well ok, it’s not actually ticking because it’s a digital alarm clock, but for the purposes of me writing this, just imagine you hear a slight tick and then a tock. As the clock strikes 6:30 the buzzing begins to start. Time to wake up…you are a year older!

Oh, how time passes by. One day you woke up 21 and today you wake up still somewhat spry at 41 years of age. Well at least you have those company birthday greeting cards to look forward to. You know the ones I’m talking about. They will be sitting on your desk as the grogginess of the early morning is still accentuated on your face.

Corporate birthday cards sometimes do more to cheer you up then one might think. They are reliable unlike a lot of other crazy things in life. And it is nice to get to work on your birthday and know your company cares a little bit. We’d all like to walk in to 1,000 gifts, but those company birthday greeting cards do the trick just fine.

Now you can go on about your day working hard or hardly working, as we all sometimes do, and think about happy birthday thoughts. Like how you are going to be able to handle the cheesy surprise birthday party your wife set up. You know, that one you’ve known about for three weeks but you have to put on that super happy surprised face when you walk in. Well at least you have something to talk about…the business birthday cards you received at work!

Make a Wish for a Birthday Blast with Business Birthday Cards

Looking for something a little different in your business birthday cards? You will find some very colorful designs this year at The Gallery Collection. Start with Birthday Blast Card, design #116AE. Here is a bright card with colors that pop! Lots of purple and blue, with the words “Happy Birthday” outlined in silver foil. The raised letters provide a nice contrast to the banners in the background and the large size of the lettering makes the message very clear. Colorful confetti falls through the design, as if there was a little explosion of fun. One of my customers said she picked this card because it really looked like fun and was a nice change from their previous birthday cards. Everyone who opens this card will say, “Wow! What a great card!”

If you want another business birthday card with punch, take a look at Make a Wish Birthday Card, design #823AE. This is one of our dark blue cards that has a bit more drama with colorful foil-accented candles on the front. We’ve had requests for another dark stock birthday card and here it is! The embossed candles really stand out. I especially like how each candle shimmers in the light with green, red or blue diagonal striping alternated with gold foil. The gold “Happy Birthday Wishes” beneath the candles expresses a sentiment that will be appreciated by all your colleagues. Your company name can be printed inside the card in gold foil or you can sign it with the gold gel pens that will be included free with your order. This card will delight the recipient because it is certainly not your average birthday card.

Business Holiday Cards are the Perfect Expression of Gratitude

This was my first year as a small business owner and I was searching for a way to reach out to my customers during the holiday season. More specifically, I was looking for an inexpensive way to express my gratitude towards 150 of my clients. This presented a major challenge for me. While there are an infinite number of gift ideas, I needed to maintain a budget of about $275 or less.

Exhausted from brainstorming gift ideas, I decided to take a break by looking through my mail. All of a sudden I saw something that caught my attention…it was a catalog which advertised business holiday cards. Bingo! This was it. I could reach out to my clients by creating custom Christmas cards. I immediately turned to the pricing guide and saw that I could order enough holiday cards and stay within my budget. So I went through the catalog, picked out my card, and submitted my order.

It wasn’t even two full weeks when I received my corporate Christmas cards. I was very impressed at the quality of the cards and the speed at which I received my custom order.  And the cards seemed to have left the same quality impression on my clients. I received several phone calls commenting on the thoughtfulness of the holiday cards. I even received a few people who asked me where I ordered the cards from, as they wanted to reach out to some of their more important clients before the holiday season was over.

Birthday Cards Capture Moments in Time

My friends’ son Evan recently turned two years old.  It feels like just yesterday I was holding him as a newborn.  It’s amazing how time flies!

Evan’s grandparents, aunts, uncles and family friends all gathered for a birthday party, where we showered him with food, presents, and personalized birthday cards.  His parents helped him carefully look at the greeting cards before letting him tear through the pile of gifts.  My friends like to keep all of the greeting cards given to their son so he can look at them when he’s older and see how much everyone loves him.  They even keep the little paper holder I make to accompany the cash gift my husband and I always give him “For the College Fund.”  They want Evan to appreciate the thoughtful sentiments extended to him, and greeting cards are perfect for showing that affection.

I also hold on to my greeting cards for sentimental value (and because I tend to be a pack rat!).  I don’t go through the greeting cards very often but when I do it’s entertaining.  The collection of birthday cards, thank you cards, Christmas cards, wedding invitations and other various greeting cards is almost like a time capsule, bringing me back to a particular year and evoking memories of what I was doing at that point in my life.  Much like photographs, greeting cards have the ability to capture moments in time.

During Evan’s birthday party, we of course took plenty of photos to capture that particular moment in time.  When he is older, I bet it will be interesting for him to go through all of the birthday cards, Christmas cards and other assorted greeting cards that were given to him over the years.  And the older he gets, he’ll likely come to realize how fast time goes by just like the rest of us!

Ode to Notecards

The notecards I found on this site, have caused me this poem to write.
The design called, “Floral Expressions” has on me made quite an impression.

When you think of someone who’s sad, or working through troubles they’ve had,
Do you worry about what to say, to help in your own little way?

The beautiful Tulip bouquet, somehow helped me to know what to say.
A notecard has let me express what might verbally come out a mess.

A word or two from the heart can possibly make healing start.
Keep a notecard in mind, when you’re in such a bind.

Perhaps you’ll agree with what happened to me.

Business Congratulations Cards for your Sneezing Friends

Upon a recent promotion, I received several greeting cards with well-wishes from co-workers. My boss gave me a business congratulations card and on the inside wrote “Congrats…or should I say God bless you?” I guess you are wondering what sort of inside joke this could possibly be, right? Let me backtrack.

It all started with a sneeze. It’s pretty much a given that if someone sneezes, they will get a “God bless you” in response. Inquisitive beings that we are, a few of us wondered how God’s blessings became the response of choice to a loud, germy sneeze. Of course to find out…we “Googled” it.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t remember what I did before Google. Have a question about something? Google it. Need to look up a factoid or rumor? Google it. None of the other search engines made it into a verb in our daily conversations. I only wish it had been around when I was a kid. It would’ve been so much easier to Google something than ask Mom to drive me to the library so I could look it up in an encyclopedia.

In any case, Google made good on its informational uses. It turns out that back in plague times, the Pope made it a law that you should bless someone in case the sneeze was a precursor to an untimely, plague-related death. Prior to those times, if someone sneezed, they were congratulated for getting rid of an evil sprit!

Some of us have started to congratulate our colleagues when sneezing. Sure, we get odd stares at first, but when we explain the origin, the stares stop (well, usually). Our Congratulations Movement has yet to pick up steam, but I am determined to make it catch on, even if it means bribing with days off! (Ok, maybe not. Bribery is not the best way to go about things, folks.)

If you have particularly sneezy friends or co-workers, and are tired of blessing them every time they let out a big one, think about handing them congratulations cards. Include a tissue, and maybe an explanation of why you’re congratulating them. That should save you from having to react to the sneezes at all for a very long time!

A Business Anniversary Cards Dinosaur Milestone

This morning Melody B. was greeted at work by a business anniversary cards signed by our Chairman of the Board, our President, the managers she reports to, and myself – her supervisor. Twenty years in a company is certainly a milestone! It shows years of dedication and loyalty. Melody has been a customer service rep at our company for twenty years today. Of course, we will be celebrating her anniversary, along with the other three employees that are also celebrating their 20th year, at a party given by the company in the spring. At the party, Melody, along with the other three employees, will be inducted into the Dinosaur Club, a very prestigious club here at The Gallery Collection. All members of the Dinosaur Club have been with the company for at least 20 years. The club has grown quite large since its inception. We now have a total of 38 dinosaurs – 24 that are still working!

Melody was excited to receive the business anniversary greeting cards, and we were as thrilled by her anniversary as she was. We will also be having goodies later today to celebrate this great day. Our company is special in the way it treats its employees. Our employees show their appreciation by their loyalty, dedication, and service to our customers. Melody and the others that handle our customer calls every day epitomize what The Gallery Collection means when we say that customer satisfaction is our primary objective.

It is a pleasure to listen to Melody when she speaks with her customers. In this day when service to customers is so rare, callers are surprised when they experience her warmth and sincerity. She receives many complimentary letters and notes from our customers. Because we are a seasonal business, we hire many seasonal employees later in the year. Sitting new seasonal employees near Melody is a training experience in itself. They quickly learn that our customers are very important to us and we want them to show the same warmth and caring to their contacts that Melody shows to hers.

It’s been such a pleasure knowing Melody and working with her for the past 20 years. She is a delight…always smiling and her wit makes every day a new experience. She is our pet laureate and song write extraordinaire. Melody usually writes a song for all our celebrations and events, which includes our Dinosaur Club parties. Happy Anniversary, Melody! Thanks for choosing The Gallery Collection for that job interview 20 years ago. It’s been a great tip!

Deliciously Soaring Business Birthday Cards

Soaring Happy Birthday, design 113AR, is one of the newest business birthday cards added to The Gallery Collection line. The card displays three floating – oops I mean soaring – balloons. The design was named Soaring Happy Birthday Card but in my opinion I would have named it Soaring Balloons. Why? Because the balloons are the main focal point of the card.

The multi colored “Happy Birthday” sentiment printed underneath the balloons is ok, but it’s the balloons that really grabbed my attention. My eyes were drawn right into the vibrant color of each, one orange, one blue, and one green. I saw different shapes and swirls in each individual color. The balloons took on a look of marble, or you know how you mix two rich colors of paint together to get a custom look…that’s what it reminds me of.

The three balloons seem to pop off the glossy white background of the card giving each one its own unique look. They are surrounded by golden flecks and sparkling stars that look like someone sprinkled gold star dust in the air and the gold dust is falling over each balloon. This certainly adds a nice touch to the birthday card design. I give this card a high rating on its overall look and wouldn’t hesitate to give it to anyone for their personal birthday.

As for design 091AY Birthday Delight Birthday Card, another new business birthday cards design, this cream colored card displays the yummiest looking cup cake spread with a hue of lavender icing. It’s then topped with pastel colored sprinkles and a soft pink star candle. The embossed cupcake is displayed in a watercolor purple and blue cupcake holder with ever so slightly darker purple and blue shadowed polka dots.

The “Happy Birthday” sentiment and tiny stars displayed on the card reflect bright foil colors of bronze, orange, fuchsia, and lemon lime. The cupcake, star, and the curled ribbon are all outlined in those same colors. I wanted to take a bite out of this deliciously fun looking cupcake. The birthday card, itself, would probably appeal more to females of all ages who would be delighted to receive this yummy treat.

Get Well Cards – Just How Sick Do You Have To Be?

Do people who receive get well cards actually recover faster than those who suffer in solitude? Proponents of positive thinking would agree that well wishes and greeting cards from the world outside the sickroom can’t help but have a healing effect. When I’m not feeling well, even if it’s only a temporary state, it’s easy to fall into an “invalid mode,” moping about in a weakened state and feeling left out of life as though I’ll never again be myself. So, when a delightful dose of sunshine comes to me via greeting cards in my mailbox, it’s amazing how my spirits and attitude get a burst of good energy.

Some get well cards will make you laugh, even though it may hurt to laugh; for instance, right after surgery. Some greeting cards can be so touching to you that they give you “misty” eyes. The best may be those greeting cards whose pretty designs cause you to smile every time you glance at them, because the greeting cards bring to mind the kind and thoughtful people who sent them. You could even get all three of those reactions from a single get well card sent from an unexpected source.

When I’m unable to say “Get Well Soon” to a person with a chronic or terminal illness, I will still send a gentle-looking greeting card that says “Thinking of You.”  I hope the greeting card helps them feel less isolated by knowing that I remember them and care about their situation. Even friends who are “sick at heart” over personal setbacks can use pleasant notecards to point them toward a brighter day. My rule of thumb is to ask myself, “Would I like to be thought about when I’m away from social action?” (Of course I do!) “Do I want to answer the door or the phone to visitors?’ (Oh my goodness, NO!) “Would get well cards make me feel better?” (You bet it would!)  And then I go ahead and do just what I planned to all along…I send the cheeriest greeting cards I can find!
