It’s that time of year, the holiday season filled with joy and cheer. Only one problem, you are stuck at the office and not so cheery. Want a solution to this problem? An encouraging and thoughtful holiday card from your boss, which could be that perfect pick-me-up you’ve been searching for during the ladder stretch of the holiday office crunch.
Sending a card to your employees or those whom you manage is a great sentiment for several reasons. It shows that the office is not just a place of work, and that there is a sense of community amongst coworkers and management as well. A Christmas card from your boss also ensures that you as an employee are considered and appreciated for all of that hard work performed throughout the year.
An even deeper sentiment could be sent to those that do not have a large family or those who are not able to spend the holidays with them. That extra card, and the caring along with it, defines the example of a little bit going a long way. The holiday season is the time for giving and appreciation, and a card from your boss to show that you as an employee are appreciated and work in a thoughtful and healthy environment makes a terrific addition to your holiday checklist.
So the only question left is what are your options?

Personalized holiday cards from your boss is nice. Even better when there is a bonus in it.
I appreciate this post as I think it is indeed a great idea for a workplace to show appreciation for its employees. Giving cards or anything, however small, over time really does build strong bonds and a sense of community in the workplace. This in turn benefits the company as a whole with a boost in morale that encourages productivity. Can’t wait for my cards this holiday season 🙂
Any time my boss gives me positive feed back I feel good. Nothing says that better than a holiday card with a personal note thanking an employee for their hard work. Feeling good about where you work , and about how you’re doing your job can make a big difference in you daily life. All jobs are stressful at times, but knowing your work is appreciated helps so much to keep a positive attitude and makes for happier employees, happier customers and happier bosses!
I think that this is a great idea, and it means a lot when the boss actually takes the time to hand write a card or a message in the card !
Great idea! Little things like that help keep up morale and make workers feel appreciated.
I’d love to receive a Holiday card from my boss! The sentiment would definitely be appreciated!
My boss sends out the best Christmas cards to everyone in the office. He even chooses ones specific for each of it. We look forward to it each holiday season!
Good move for a boss to send a card. Gives the mood in the office a boost and makes workers feel the appreciation.
I always have loved my boss’ that gave me a Christmas card. And I love imprinting, but the personal touch of a gel pen goes a long way.
I have no experience with my company boss giving me a holiday present or a Christmas card, but my immediate supervisor (who I’ve developed a good friendship with) every year gives me something for Christmas (Birthday) . And its not your generic present, he takes the time to buy something that matches my interest. The little things make you feel appreciated, and the ordering from the gallery collection is a good place to start, because a card can a lot of things even without the personalization touch.
