This year more than ever businesses must get their names back out there. What better occasion than Thanksgiving to show how grateful you are to still be in business through these hard economic times? Thanksgiving cards are the best way to enhance your current relationships, remind old customers that you still exist and attract new customers.
Honestly, I did not know that companies actually sent business Thanksgiving cards instead of Christmas cards until I began working for The Gallery Collection. Thinking about it however the idea is a pretty good one; it is unique in the sense that a Thanksgiving card will most likely be the first received during the holiday season and it will be displayed the longest. Everybody reads holiday cards to see who sent them so imagine this scenario; you’re a dentist, you send a Thanksgiving card to a patient, they display it and everyone that sees it says “I’ve been looking for a good dentist, can I have her number?” Well, it could happen!
Thanksgiving cards put you a step ahead on both a business level and a personal level. Warm seasonal greetings can help strengthen continuing relationships with customers and clients, and showcase the kind of thoughtful and personal company you work for.
I think Thanksgiving Day cards are one of the best ways to say thanks for your business. It marks the beginning of the Holiday Season. And puts everyone in a giving spirit. Which really does help to boost sales in these hard times.
I think sending a Thanksgiving card is a great idea… especially in today’s PC world. Kicking off the holiday season with sending your appreciation and well wishes to clients is not only a good business/advertising move but will make a lasting impression on those who receive it.
I’ve noticed this trend over the last few years. It seems like I’m receiving more and more thanksgiving cards each year. I love them. I think it’s a great way to celebrate being american and being thankful for all things, especially our customers (and especially in this economy)!
I agree, there is no better way to advertise your business than with a greeting card for any season! What makes a Thanksgiving card special is the timing since its the beginning of the holiday season, it really is your best chance to get noticed!
Cards work people! And if you can get a people thinking about your business early in the holiday season, chances are they will use your services! So, send them out early and send them out often!
I totally agree. I get a Thanksgiving card every year from a local podiatrist. I never had a need for a foot doctor but last May I had bunion surgery. The only podiatrist I could think of was the one who always sent a Thanksgiving card. So cards DO work.
