Now I Know What Corporate Birthday Cards Are Truly For

The first time I received an invoice from our sales and marketing department referring to corporate birthday cards I didn’t understand why we would spend money on something that seemed so frivolous. You see, I work in the accounting department involved with accounts payable and I didn’t know what the company would use a corporate birthday card for. My friend Mary works in sales and I asked her. She explained how very valuable they are because it reminds each customer that we remember them and they are individuals with a special day and that they really matter to our business. She went on to say how sometimes a customer will call without placing any order just to thank the sales representative who thought of them.

When you are selling a product and there is a lot of one on one contact with your customers you really get to know them. These business birthday cards are just the right touch for that purpose. I’m sure we get a few extra calls and even more importantly sales. Recently, I received a birthday card from my insurance company representative and it made me smile, proving that it really does matter.

Personalized Birthday Cards Flew us to California

Who would have thought that personalized birthday cards could have been so rewarding. It was my daughter Terre’s Sweet 16 birthday and she didn’t want to have a Sweet 16 party, the same as all of her friends were having. She wanted instead to go to Southern California – Huntington Beach to be exact – with three of her best friends (my sister and I also went). So I ordered some custom imprinted birthday cards which incorporated a special invitation for Terre and her three best friends to Huntington Beach for one week for a Sweet 16 birthday vacation. I placed a round trip airline ticket in each and gave out the special birthday cards to my daughter and her friends. They were thrilled, to say the least.

When the special vacation week finally arrived, we had a limo come and pick us up to go to the airport. We landed at LAX and for our first night, we stayed at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. We got to the hotel, checked in and went to the poolside café to have lunch. We were so excited to be there and so hopeful we would see a famous person or two. We weren’t there ten minutes when Jennifer Aniston walked in and sat at a table 25 feet from us. The girls could barely hide their excitement at seeing her. I really couldn’t either!

While we were all too shy to say anything to her, she was very sweet nonetheless. She couldn’t help but notice the gaggle of teenage girls trying not to stare at her. When we were finished and on our way to do some sight-seeing, Jennifer waved to the girls as they got up from the table and left. Well, they were on cloud nine the rest of the day.

We left for Huntington Beach the next day and had a great time. We didn’t see any other famous people but to be honest, seeing Jennifer Aniston was all we could handle for one trip! But those special birthday cards, and the whole vacation, is a memory the girls will cherish forever.

Business Birthday Cards Are A Big Deal

Birthdays are no big deal around my office. It’s as if we were all hatched from a batch of eggs, like birds and turtles, with no personal birth dates. What’s so difficult about people signing friendly little “from the gang at work” birthday cards? Or how about business birthday cards from the big boss himself?

Does it bother me? Believe me, I’m not looking to advertise my age every year. I’m not looking for a party because my waistline doesn’t need another slice of cake. I’m too old for a bunch of balloons tied to my chair, and I don’t certainly don’t need flowers or more candy. It’s just that I’d like to feel a little special at work for just that one day a year.

Back in college I had a part-time job. The printing machines in the next room were so noisy, everyone in the office had to shout to be heard. “HI, GINNY!” “GOOD MORNING, PETE!” “NICE WEATHER OUT THERE.” There wasn’t much socializing in that place or you’d have a sore throat by the end of the day. Things were better at my first “real” job. No big celebrations for a birthday, no presents, just a few friends sharing cake at the lunch table. This was an old established firm and we weren’t allowed to have any personal items, especially birthday cards, cluttering up our desks.

On my next birthday I’ll really shake things up here. I’ll mail myself half a dozen birthday cards and tack them up on my bulletin board. Maybe I’ll get pizza for everyone. What do you think? Maybe the boss will take the hint and start sending all of us some business birthday cards. Being happy at work is certainly a great motivator to do a great job!

Corporate Birthday Cards with a Clever Surprise

I often noticed how the ladies in my office would show up for work every day with a beverage in hand from a fast food restaurant or coffee chain. They would purchase the largest size and enjoy it throughout the day. There would be conversation about where one could find the best buy and what was available in the neighborhood. Sometimes a new drink would come on the scene and we would compare our taste notes, even exchange coupons for these mini office delights. Here is an inexpensive way to celebrate your employees’ birthdays. Simply purchase corporate birthday cards and include a five dollar gift card for a local coffee store or fast food place. You will be amazed at the positive response.

A business birthday card not only shows that you care and remember; it is a demonstration of your thoughtfulness as a manager, executive, professional or business owner. The execution of this project is quite simple and straightforward. And don’t ask what you can get for five dollars in this economy – quite a lot! A sweet tea, strawberries and crème frappuccino, large decaf, fruit smoothie, or the basic black coffee-to-go will come in at under five dollars with change to spare. Give, and give it a try!

Birthday Cards Bonanza

Most people don’t really place as much value on birthday cards as they used to. In this day and age, most people resort to a “happy birthday” on Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr, or at best an e-card sent to your email. Even though times are changing and we’re rapidly incorporating technology into our daily lives, I still think birthday cards that you can hold and feel is the best birthday gesture someone can give. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Facebook “happy birthday’s”, but I can’t put them on my desk to smile at when I glance over at them.

What’s better than a birthday card you can physically hold and feel? Personal birthday cards that your loved ones took the time to make especially for you! Whenever I receive a personalized birthday card, I’m amazed at the details of the whole package – the coloring of the card, the ink that the greetings printed in, the special sentiment my friend took the time to think up, among other things. I’ve heard a lot of people say that birthday cards are a waste… I don’t think that’s true at all! I personally have a box with hundreds of birthday and other types of cards I’ve received during the years, and every once in a while it’s so nice to open that box up and go through some of them. It brings a smile to my face, and as the years go by, it makes me happy that I’ve had the opportunity to grow another year and to be fortunate enough to have family and friends that care so much about me as to think of me in the form of a card – a lost art in this day and age.

Business Birthday Cards That Made An Impression

Let me tell you what a difference it made to me when I received actual business birthday cards you could feel and touch.  I own a consulting business and we order many marketing promotional items for our clients.  Many sales representatives from promotional companies contact us but I had my steady supplier that we had used for years.  When my sales contact left the company for a change in careers, I stayed with the company but was ultimately not happy with the service I was getting.

I had met with a sales representative from another company approximately a year prior on what must have been my birthday.  Low and behold, 1 year later, I received a beautifully crafted business birthday card from that same sales rep.  I was not only impressed by the thought, but also by the quality of the card.  I immediately got in touch with the rep and placed an order to try their company out.

I am now happily using his company as our primary supplier of promotional material and all because he made such a great impression on me with a high quality and thoughtful birthday cards.

I now make it a point to find out all of my clients’ birthdays and have a box of quality birthday cards at my finger tips ready to send to my clients.  I can’t tell you how many comments I get from them when they receive their card!

You’ve Got Birthday Cards

Another year has gone by and your birthday is approaching. It could be a milestone year or just another year. You might be thinking that no one will remember you and then the U.S. Postal service makes a delivery. To your surprise your chiropractor; the chiropractor that was referred to you by your neighbor, sent you a birthday card.  These small surprises in life can bring a lot of joy. How thoughtful it is to get birthday cards from someone other than your mother.

Personalized greeting cards are a wonderful gift to give. It might be a small token from a business owner, but it certainly leaves a lasting impression to their clients. It could be your dentist, accountant, lawyer or financial advisor. It is a way of staying in touch with clients who will remember you when they are in need of a special service. To operate a small business isn’t easy these days; to stand out amongst the competition is an important part of your success. Sending personalized birthday cards adds a special touch that is appreciated by all.

Corporations who remember their employee’s birthdays by sending a card also let their workers know they are more than a number. Everyone has a birthday to be celebrated and being remembered with a birthday card is a comforting feeling. I know when I receive one I display it on my desk for a while. Lots of times there are notes from my coworkers, wishing me well plus little remarks that brighten up my day.

Remembering people and letting them know they are thought of in a positive way will bring a smile to their face. It is a good tradition to send birthday cards, as it is usually better to send then to receive!

Staying Connected with Birthday Cards for Business

I work at a large, international company. It is often difficult for such a company to make its employees feel special and appreciated as individuals. As much as they would like to, senior management simply cannot speak one-on-one with each and every employee. One easy way for such a company to make its employees feel individually valued is to send them each an individual birthday card. Birthday cards for business can be personalized to each employee, and imprinted with a company’s logo and names of the company executives. The executives can sign the cards, or even have their signatures imprinted on the cards.

There are many themes to choose from: celestial, gift boxes, balloons, etc. Whatever style is chosen, corporate birthday cards are sure to brighten an employee’s day! They are also an easy, cost-efficient, and friendly way for a large company to stay connected to the people who matter most.

Business Birthday Cards – Sometimes They Come with a Surprise Inside!

I think we all know those people who, whenever their birthday comes around, insist they don’t care if anyone remembers or not. They always say they’d rather forget their birthday when they hit a certain age. Well, I’m not one of them. I love getting birthday cards – and business birthday cards are some of the best.

I don’t have a lot of credit cards, but I am a sucker for opening a new one every time my daughter and I are shopping. Some of the new stores offer a nice premium for opening the card and then, of course, you get on their mailing list. Lots of coupons and junk mail come my way, but then so does a birthday card and guess what’s inside it – a coupon, just for me, just because it’s my birthday. These personalized birthday cards, complete with the company name, logo, address, online ordering option – everything to make shopping easy – are always welcome in my house.

It’s amazing how many companies are on the band wagon for sending personalized birthday cards. My mom, a big fan of our local casinos, gets birthday cards from each one of the many places where she has left a deposit over the years. They each include a little “freebie” and by taking advantage of each one of them, an elderly woman is having a great time, and each of the casinos benefits from her visits.

One of our local restaurants even has a birthday club. So on your birthday, you get a personalized birthday card and a coupon for your birthday meal on the house. Of course, people don’t usually dine alone for their birthday, so the restaurant benefits by giving away one free meal, but getting several paid meals as a result of the birthday celebration.

I’m sure from the sender’s point of view, it’s a smart business decision to make sure your company’s name pops up in the customer or client’s mind, but it’s also a nice surprise from the receiver’s point of view for them to know someone remembered their special day. If you ask me, that makes sending personalized birthday cards a “win – win” situation.

Company Birthday Cards and Their Impact

When I first started my business I didn’t send out company birthday cards to my clients or my employees. That all changed the day I received one from my doctor. Although the card was a few days early and very simple, it put a genuine smile on my face. The card reminded me of the wonderful care I receive and all of the amusing moments that have occurred at his office because of the great attitude that he and his employees have.

Realizing the impact that this card had on me, I decided to invest the time and money to make sure that each of my clients and employees received a birthday card. I wanted my clients to know that I value their loyalty. I also wanted them to understand that we care about their happiness and our relationship. A few weeks after I started sending the cards I received a call from one of my clients. She wasn’t calling to place an order, but instead it was to thank me for the card. At that moment I knew I had made the right choice in initiating this tradition. Since then, I have received several calls from clients just to express gratitude for remembering the one day that is theirs.

The snowball effect that the employee birthday cards had on the workplace environment was amazing. Employees started to actually do things for each other’s birthdays and everyone always seemed to be in good spirits for those special days. Usually it would be something small such as cutting a birthday cake during lunch or making plans to celebrate after work. Currently the team mentality is the strongest it has ever been and I have no doubt in my mind that this is all due to taking the time to remember each of our employee’s birthdays.
