TOP 5 VOTE GETTERS
5 SCHOLARSHIP TEAM PICKS
the Red Cardinal in the snow covered tree is my favorite.
I absolutely love the three birds at the bottom corner! The sleigh and moon is nice as well. Great job to all the finalists!
The photo of the two horses is absolutely magnificent! The use of black and white photography with just a hint of burgundy in the reins draws the viewer’s attention to the horses. The horse on the right appears to have its head bowed in prayer while the other horse stands watch. There is almost a subtle feeling of sadness to an otherwise beautiful winter scene.
Entry 2118 with the horses is a great work of art! I’d love to see this design win.
It is incredible that a scholarship like this is offered to students! The submissions are great and the talent is really impressive. That being said, my favorite is the pumpkin painting at the bottom. It looks like so much time and detail went into it and it would be a perfect card to send out in the Fall. Beautiful work of art, hope it wins!
It’s a shame the sloth card didn’t make it to the top ten! What a standout illustration! It would have won for sure!
Red Cardinal in tree is my favorite as well
I think the choice of one winner will be hard. The pumpkin is artistic for the Thanksgiving holiday, and Santa is always great for Christmas. But those horses in black & white are unusual and a bit nostalgic for winter, no matter what holiday you’re celebrating.
The horses are stunning and I think would make a beautiful greeting card.
The detail in the fire engine and the yellow schoolhouse is just amazing. How talented!
The coffee cup one is amazing! It suits the greeting card theme perfectly!
I absolutely adore the aesthetic strokes of the coffee cup.
I love the coffee cup one! Its details are very eye catching!
love the special moment of the man with his best friend.
The two horses submission is my favorite, only to be followed by the red fire truck. So hard to choose – I do not envy the judges!
The yellow house and the old man and the dog are very strong contenders, in my opinion! How exciting for the ultimate winner! Good luck artists!
I’ve been following this contest for the last few months. I’ve been very impressed with some of the submissions and congratulate all the kids that submitted entries. Too bad there’s only one winner. In my mind they’re all winners!
It’s hard to wait for the big day. I know one of the finalists & we can’t wait to see the results. Hoping she gets the big prize for college.
Congratulations and best of luck to all the finalists! All the entries are so beautiful; I’m glad I don’t have to choose the winner!
Hard to choose but I just love the pumpkins. Wish I had that kind of talent. Best of luck.
Just adore the cupcakes! Wonderfully done.
I got the date mixed up. Thought the winner was going to be on today. I’m going to enter the next contest and if I’m a finalist I’m rounding up all my friends in school to vote for me.
Wow, I love the submission with the horses! The composition in B&W is awesome. Is that a photograph or a REALLY well-done pencil drawing? Either way…that’s talent!
This blog is generating a lot of comments. I think we’re all anxious to see who wins tomorrow. It’s exciting if you know one of the kids. I don’t but I think the contest is wonderful. It gives a talented student a big financial boost. And a prize for someone in the military- that’s really nice to do.
The one with the cardinals down in the bottom left corner is beautiful! So much detail was put into the design and there is so much natural talent in this card design. I’m sure it will be successful as a card design for sure, especially since many people send out Christmas cards.
Hi Everyone! I wanted to thank everyone who commented with good words for my photograph of the two horses. I really appreciate it, Thank You! All of the art-works are amazing and I really admire all of the works that were painted or hand-done. It takes a lot of talent to do that. Half-an-hour until the winner is announced! Best of Luck to the Top-Ten Finalists!
As this is a greeting card contest, the questions are: “Which card would I purchase?” and “Which card would sell the most?” The answer to both: The picture of Santa and his reindeer. It is unique – I have never seen one like it. It has energy and depth. It has a certain magic.
There are many amazing entries and congratulations to all who submitted their artwork.
wow they are all great of course, but to me, the lone cardinal is really great. in the thumbnail it looks like a photo, click on the hyperlink and see it in full view mode….wow. Not sure if that was a painting or a photo that was photoshopped like that….but either way it is great.
Wow! The black and white horses are amazing! It looks like a photograph! My brother is a high school art teacher and I am sure that he would be a astonished at the detail as he paints paintings himself that are confused at times for photos.
I love the yellow house. Good for all seasons. It makes me happy. Beautiful work.
Dear Gallery Collection,
Entries #9597 and #8766 have been running neck and neck for the past few weeks for the top spot.
How is that neither of them are winners? Could you please tell us which of the two had the most votes this current round? Also, could you also show the amount of votes for the winners. It will be important to know for next time since some of us thought we were voting for what was currently on the page, not others not listed from the past with no voting goals listed, which would have driven us to find more supporters. Good luck to all for the future!
Thanks,
Robert
