My Corporate Christmas Cards Victory

Every once in a while my boss will give me some odd jobs, for instance, last year she put me in charge of ordering some Christmas cards for the whole office. Of course I decided to push this off until the last minute. Thank goodness for The Gallery Collection, who certainly saved the day for me. Within a few days I was able to order corporate Christmas cards for the entire office. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to pull it off, but with The Gallery Collection’s helpful customer service representatives, ordering these custom Christmas cards was a breeze. And they turned out to be amazing.

Inside the Christmas cards we were able to include our own company’s logo and even hand written signatures. Although there was no big bonus in it for me, I marked this as a personal victory. I guess you can say my bonus is seeing my card hanging throughout the office on all of my co-workers’ desks.

And now, here we are again. The holiday season is right around the corner and I’m right on top of ordering some beautiful business Christmas cards. I think we may have a new holiday tradition around the office!

Business Christmas Cards are Perfect for the Holidays

I am an owner of a marina of five years now which is year round job. When I first took ownership of my new business I can recall writing all my business Christmas cards out by hand. As my clientele grew so did my time in being extremely involved in overseeing and organizing my day to day workforce. With over 400 customers plus my employees, sub-contractors, suppliers and then some, I couldn’t imagine writing all those Christmas cards out by hand.

As the holidays were nearing I just didn’t know how I would possibly get everything done with Thanksgiving around the corner. So, I decided to do a search online to see how I could simplify my hectic life and I found The Gallery Collection. They have such a large assortment of Christmas cards that if you can’t find what you’re looking for here, you’ll never find it.

As I was skimming over the site I noticed that there were corporate holiday cards as well, which made me think of my grandfather who owned an electrical corporation in Dallas, Texas. I called his secretary and told her about The Gallery Collection. Her reply to me was, “Oh we’ve been using them for years.” I should have known, especially considering how particular my grandfather can be with his choices!

Ordering Christmas Cards Can Be Fun And Rewarding

I love when it comes time to choose Christmas cards I really cannot want until the catalogs start pouring into the office. I realize this sounds nutty or as if I have nothing better to do, trust me, I have a very hectic schedule so the thought of losing myself in a Christmas card catalog is heavenly. I look forward to seeing the new designs that are introduced each year and wonder how the designers come up with them!  One of my responsibilities is to order the Christmas cards for the company but first I have to select a few designs, order samples and present them to our executive team. Although the task seems simple, there are many things to consider. I first get a budget and the number of cards to be ordered so when I present the selection to the team I will have all of my facts. There are several things that are constant year after year like quality and the sentiment on the front of the card. For us it is Season’s Greetings or Happy Holidays so one design can be sent to all of our clients.

This year I noticed many of the cards sold are made from 30% post consumer waste recycled paper which is a plus for our company. I wasn’t totally sure what 30% post consumer waste meant so I Googled it and according to Wikipedia:

Post-consumer waste is material discarded after consumer use, such as old corrugated containers (OCC), old magazines, old newspapers (ONP), office paper, old telephone directories, and residential mixed paper (RMP).

To think that the papers I recycle at home become recycled paper Christmas cards is pretty cool!

Business Christmas Cards That Work As Gifts

Last year was a tough year for my business.  You see, in the past I sent gifts to many of my clients in appreciation for their continued support.  However, 2011 wasn’t a great year therefore sending a small fruit basket or even a box of candy wasn’t in the budget.  My husband gave me a suggestion; he had received some beautiful sample business Christmas cards in the mail at his office and shared the catalog with me.  The cards were exceptional and with the discounts offered they were well within my budget.

Since I sent the cards last year I received numerous calls and comments from clients about the beautiful corporate holiday cards I sent. I have also done more business with my clients, which I believe was due in no small part to the cards they all received. Sending Christmas cards is a tradition that I intend on keeping for years to come.

Christmas Cards Personalized For Your Style

I love greeting cards. I love all the picking out that perfect card for someone that let’s them know that I put thought into this card just for them. But more than any other occasion, I love Christmas cards personalized for my style. When I am choosing the cards I am going to send out for Christmas, I always have a hard time choosing just one design. I like choosing cards that express my easy going personality as well as my love for vibrant colors and designs, but narrowing it down to just one is so hard when there are so many beautiful options to choose from.

I usually like cards that have bright colors on them.  Not necessarily the same color schemes but just vibrant combinations of colors – both traditional and non-traditional Christmas colors.  I also like the cards to be fun but still convey a message of caring and celebration. Finding that one card that encompasses these traits is hard but I usually find something that speaks to me.  Just searching through all the cards on this site was a delight to my eyes and senses. There are so many different images and styles to choose from I could have spent weeks looking – but alas I must send my Christmas cards out before the holiday actually arrives so I have to focus on the goal of choosing the card that will don the family name and our wishes of joy for all we hold dear.

Everyone Enjoys Corporate Holiday Cards

Let’s say that corporate Holiday cards are a mandatory thing, required by the policies of your company. Now, really think about it. Would it be as thoughtful and generous to receive if you as an employee were required to send them out to all of your fellow co-workers? What if, when required to send out these mandatory cards, you had to pay for them with your own cash, and were not given any type of re-imbursement. Or worse! The payment for the cards came directly out of your check for that previous week. Makes you think twice about the next time you decide to want to send out Christmas cards right?

Luckily, that isn’t the case with most companies. And that’s what makes receiving business Christmas cards so great. It isn’t something forced upon you. When you receive your card, you know it comes from the heart, and that your boss, or a company you work with, or a business associate, is truly wishing you the best for the holiday season. And it is definitely something people remember.

So, if you want to stand out in the crowd this holiday season, make sure you remember corporate holiday cards for everyone!

Business Birthday Cards In The Work Place

In today’s world most situations are handled by an impersonal response; email, e-cards, texting, cell phones, iPads, etc.  Years ago when I had my first job at a bank, my boss Mr. C always sent business birthday cards to his employees and customers.  I worked in a busy bank that had extended Saturday hours. He always came to work with a smile and respected the work that was done under his supervision.  He even went as far as to bring in donuts or bagels for the staff.

Birthday cards were well received by the customers of the bank.  Most would compliment me, and were impressed that a corporation would take the time to send out personalized cards. It was a good feeling for both parties, and I actually enjoyed sending them to the clients. A lot of times I would put a hand written note in the card.  People share a lot of stores when they are sitting at your desk.  I often would refer back to one of their stories that they shared with me while I was filling out the paperwork. The important lesson I took from that job was that it is always a good practice remember birthdays; your clients and customers won’t forget your thoughtfulness.

Business Thanksgiving Cards for More Than Just the Holidays

The use of business greeting cards in the workplace has become increasingly popular and they are used throughout the year.  The ways to use greeting cards in the business environment are numerous and can often require a little creativity. Birthday cards are not only sent to employees as a way to wish them a Happy Birthday but can also be used to recognize an achievement.  Thank you cards can be sent to employees to thank them for a job well done or can be sent to business associates to thank them for their business.  Anniversary cards can be sent to employees to congratulate them on their association with your company. Get Well cards can be sent to employees or clients at times of illness to express your speedy recovery wishes.  Expressions of sympathy can be conveyed with Sympathy cards. And of course, Christmas cards can be sent to clients and customers extending your best holiday wishes.

What about Thanksgiving?  This occasion is a great time to send business Thanksgiving cards to employees, business associates, clients and potential new customers. As the holiday season approaches, the thought of sending cards becomes foremost in everyone’s mind.  Sending business Thanksgiving cards provides an opportunity to thank your current customers and business associates for your continued association at a time of the year specifically dedicated to giving “Thanks”. When sent to employees, it can reinforce a sense of goodwill between the employer and employee.  Sending Thanksgiving cards to new businesses offers the opportunity to promote your business in order to potentially gain new customers.  Thanksgiving cards can provide a vehicle to offer an incentive or premium – especially appreciated as the holiday season approaches. What better time to convey your expressions of sincere gratitude than at the beginning of the holiday season?  Your thanks and appreciation will surely stand out and impress your recipients.

Christmas Cards Keep Us Connected

Who would have thought in these days of instant news and entertainment, getting Christmas cards would have such sentimental value.  We all have anywhere from 50 to 100+ friends on Facebook, Twitter or some other form of social media.  But realistically, how many of those friends would you send, or would send you a Christmas card?  How many of these so-called friends actually “know” you?  Besides looking/commenting on their latest holiday status updates and pictures do you really care about expressing holiday cheer to these so-called friends?  But when you get a card, you know for sure, you have friends beyond the confines of social media.  The fact that you are receiving something in the mail, that you can touch and feel, and has been specifically sent to you, means more than any “like” or “status update”!

Personalized Christmas cards take this a step further.  The fact that your friend or loved-one, took the time to not only select a beautiful card, but express their personal sentiments gives that annual Christmas card even greater meaning.  It means I’m not just a blip on your screen; I’m a person worthy of the time and effort it takes to send a distinctive greeting.  For me it means we’re connected in the real world and it makes me feel special.

Make Your Corporate Christmas Cards Perfect

I’ve been in business for over 20 years and have always been able to find corporate Christmas cards that ideally match what I want to say, and how I want to say it, with style. Sometimes I go for poignant or nostalgic; other years I want something more modern. Whatever I feel it takes to make my business look good, and my customers feel appreciated.

I’ve used a card that featured a wood-sided station wagon with a Christmas tree on the roof, heading home in a glistening snow. A number of other cards had the same simple, timeless feel; a scene of glittering pines in the snow was another of my favorites. Sometimes I feel like something a little more vibrant, even edgy, for my cards. I got a ton of compliments last year for one with shiny gold, red and green foils on black paper! The variety is endless, with new and original designs out every year. On the front, a simple “Season’s Greetings” says it all for me. Inside, I customize my own message.

This year I’ve been making some business contacts overseas, so when it came time to order Christmas cards, I needed just the right look and feel to impress potential customers. I had no trouble finding just what I was looking for: a variety of great looking cards with an international feel, heralding “Peace on Earth”.

The perfect sentiment, one we can all embrace.
