Should I Use Embossed Foil Seals For My Greeting Cards

You’ve carefully selected your cards, customized them to your heart’s delight, and you are ready to mail them out in your pristine envelopes. As you are considering finishing touches for your cards, you might want to look at purchasing seals for your envelopes. Each pack contains 50 metallic seals in your choice of gold foil or silver foil. These seals match seamlessly with the foil lining of envelopes that come with The Gallery Collection’s holiday cards and other greeting cards. It is such a classy finishing touch, reminiscent of old-fashioned niceties like sealing cards with a wax stamp. These seals are embossed, giving your card a raised element which makes the card feel more personalized. They are easy to apply, you just peel and stick them! And the adhesive is strong enough to keep your envelopes closed. Each quality seal is 1-1/4” in diameter. The gold and silver both boast a bright, metallic shine. This beauty is only elevated by the intricate pattern on every seal—indicative of royalty—informing your recipient that this is a message of utmost importance. Make any occasion feel grand with a pack of metallic foil seals.

Why Greeting Cards are Important in the Corporate World

For a variety of good reasons, businesses oftentimes send greeting cards to customers and clients. These cards can include holiday cards, thank you cards (for past business) invitations to upcoming company events or reminder cards for an upcoming appointment.

To make the most positive impression, the cards your company sends should be personalized to the recipient. For holiday cards, it would be ideal if the cards are signed by your company’s CEO or a high-ranking official. If this is not possible (due to a high quantity of clients), it would be best to at least have the cards sent to your largest accounts hand-signed.

When your card is received, it is likely to be shared with the management of the company and, sometimes, many employees. Those who receive your card are likely to think more fondly of you and more likely to conduct business with you in the future, especially when compared to a business that doesn’t bother to contact them.

The other type of corporate greeting cards are those that are sent to employees. Just as it is important to keep on the good side of customers and clients by sending cards, an employee birthday card or anniversary card is sure to keep your workers feeling valued and increased loyalty generally means increased productivity. As with other corporate greetings, a small investment can have a much larger positive impact!

Sending Anniversary Cards to Employees

Sending anniversary cards to your employees send a message to them that their time with your company means something to you.

When I celebrated my one year anniversary, my boss stopped by my desk and dropped off a beautiful card and actually sang a quick song. (I know a little corny, right?) The card was signed by her, my immediate supervisor, the owner of the company, the CEO and the COO. It was wonderful. I have to say, all of this attention from my boss and supervisor made me feel like my work was valued.

The greeting inside the card not only said, “Happy Anniversary” but it stated that they “Appreciated my contributions and they realize I am part of their success.” What a fantastic thing to hear from the people you work for.

This type of inspiration motivates me to give all I can to my company. Sometimes all it takes is a small gesture to give an employee the encouragement they need to do everything in their power to make the company a priority. Sending anniversary cards to your employees will instill loyalty and promote a positive work environment. Inspiration and motivation stimulate effective employees. Take a little time to show appreciation with employee anniversary cards and your business will create and maintain a high-quality workforce.

Should I Purchase Embossed Foil Seals for our Greeting Cards?

There’s no doubt presentation plays a huge role in the process of mailing out greeting cards. Whether it be sending out cards during the Christmas season, cards celebrating the New Year, Thanksgiving cards, or even classic Birthday cards, you want to choose a design that stands out from all the rest. Leaving an impression usually occurs with the first thing someone sees. When receiving a greeting card in the mail, what is the first thing you see? Unless people suddenly start sending greeting cards with their postage stamp on the actual card, then the first thing you’ll see is the envelope.

If you order your greeting cards from The Gallery Collection, you have a few nice options when it comes to choosing the type of envelope you want to send your cards in. You can choose either white or buff color for your envelope, and the inside can be white, silver, gold, or pearl. The process of sealing your envelopes is where you can get creative. The general option offered is “moisture seal” style envelopes, where you can either lick the envelope or apply a liquid based substance then press down to seal them up. For a slight upgrade in price, you can also choose to select “seal-fast” envelopes, in which the hard work is pretty much done for you, all you have to do is remove the wrapper to reveal the adhesiveness and press down to seal.

My personal favorite option is the embossed foil seals. These elegant and eye-catching seals come in either gold or silver, to compliment the specific envelope beautifully. The 1 inch seals come in packs of 50. The small additional charge is surely worth it to get that extra oomph with your cards and stand out from the rest of card senders. Not only do the embossed foil seals look fancy and unique, they also provide an easier route to opening the envelope for the recipients. Instead of clawing through the envelope seal, they can simply open the 1 inch seal and get to see the beautiful card design you chose. Sounds like a win-win to me.

Which Type of Greeting Cards You Should Buy in Bulk

Greeting cards can be a great way of keeping your name in front of current and prospective clients. We’ve been discussing which type of Greeting Cards you should buy in bulk and have come up with several types that are a worthwhile investment.

We make it a point to always send an annual Holiday Card – sometimes at Thanksgiving and sometimes a bit later with “Season’s Greetings”. A few years we actually chose a Happy New Year’s card. I always go to The Gallery Collection first because you can count on having an extensive selection of beautiful designs to choose from and the quality is always excellent. It’s hard to go wrong.

With summer help from college kids, it’s easy to order early & have our holiday cards all done and ready to be mailed well before the fall. I make sure to order extra cards in case we want to add new contacts to our mailing later on. This way, we avoid the stress of having to rush to prepare and send out several hundred cards right at one of the busiest times of the year.

Since our holiday cards have proven to be such a hit for several years running, we decided three years ago to also start sending out Birthday cards to our clients too. Seeing the overwhelmingly positive response, we’ve decided that It’s well worth the money, time, and effort. There have been lots of calls, emails and notes from the people we really want to hear from – our clients.

Anniversary cards are also good to buy in bulk because you can keep them on hand and send them to anyone you want to, any time of the year. Again, it’s good public relations. You could always go with keeping an Anniversary Assortment Box on hand, but this year we wanted to go with a specific card with our own greeting printed inside. This way we customized our cards just the way we wanted and there was no extra cost for this option.

If you don’t already send your customers holiday cards, birthday cards, or anniversary cards consider adding them as a part of your normal business routine. It’s simply good public relations and the payoff could be great!

There are many options of blank any purpose greeting cards or thinking of you cards that hit just the right note. These are perfect in instances where maybe you have a customer that you haven’t heard from in a while. You can put your personal note just reminding them you are there to help with their needs.

The Purpose of Greeting Card Assortments

One of the best things I have come across since starting my new office assistant position is an order form for card assortment boxes. The purpose of greeting card assortments are to be on hand for different types of occasions. There are assortments available in many different categories. For example, Birthday, Anniversary, Sympathy, Get Well, Thank You, Congratulations and of course the little bit of everything All Occasion assortment. I have found that keeping a box of greeting cards in my desk is critical. I don’t always remember everyone’s everything. There is always an occasion coming up that a card is needed and everyone scrambles, who is going to go to the store? Who has time today? The usual suspects will come to me and may I add it is usually an immediately necessity. For my own sanity, I have decided to keep a 2 different boxes in my cabinet. I have an all occasion assortment box since it has 35 cards with 16 different types of cards. The most being Birthday cards – 12, Thank you – 6, Congratulations – 5, Sympathy – 4, and then 2 each of the Anniversary, Get Well, Thinking of you and finally 2 blank Note cards. And I also keep a box of all Birthday. Everyone gets a birthday cards! We all enjoy that – Don’t we?

3 Quotes Guaranteed to Work for Your Thanksgiving Cards

Thanksgiving is a time for thinking back at all you have experienced throughout the year and showing your appreciation for all that you have and all of those in your life. Life seems to go by so quickly these days and the important things are pushed to the side again and again. It is important to take this day to be thankful.

  • Oprah Winfrey said, “Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have you will never have enough.” This quote is so true. I think this would be great to add inside your Thanksgiving cards to remind everyone of the meaning of the holiday. Enjoy what you have and accept what you don’t.
  • “Gratitude is the inward feeling of kindness received. Thankfulness is the natural impulse to express that feeling. Thanksgiving is following that impulse,” said Henry Van Dyke. So many of us get caught up in the menu for the day. Adding this to your card may be the encouragement your recipients need to remember what is really being celebrated.
  • Amy Grant once said, “Thanksgiving Day is a good day to recommit our energies to giving thanks and just giving.” This is one of my favorite quotes to write in my Thanksgiving card. It is important to be thankful for all that we have on this day and every day, but this day should also serve as a reminder to give what we can to help others.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Why Proper Grammar is Key in Letter Writing

There complementary desert is grater than hearse. Their complimentary dessert is greater than hers. The first sentence states that there exists a matching area of arid land that functions as an implement that grates in some unidentifiable relation to a vehicle that transports those who have passed away. The second sentence states that someone’s free cake tastes better than someone else’s cake. I believe these two sentences clearly illustrate the undeniable and unquestionable importance of grammar.

Perhaps you are not convinced. All grammatical errors are not as blatant as the above, and you may feel it is perfectly fine to ignore some rules of grammar once in a while. You might want to have your complimentary cake and eat it, too. Resist that temptation. Grammar is not meant to be a tedious set of rules. Its function is to assist in the accurate and coherent expression of thoughts and ideas. Certain forms of communication rely more heavily on grammar than others. In particular, proper grammar is key in letter writing. This is the case for many reasons, two of which are listed below.

Perceived Intelligence – Whether it is fair or not, most people judge the intelligence of others based upon the quality of their writing. An individual may be ignored or dismissed despite their intelligence simply because of poor grammar.

Meaningful Communication – Ideas, beliefs, and thoughts only exist outside oneself if they can be properly communicated. Faulty grammar hinders true expression as it can serve to frustrate or confuse the letter reader who may, in turn, abandon the letter without ever grasping its inherent value.
